History of Sister2SisterBU
When I launched Sister2SisterBU over two decades ago, the purpose was clear: to provide a welcoming space where women could connect, support one another and thrive. It's a place where sisterhood and empowerment meet, and this mission continues today.
Sister2SisterBU was born from the heart of connecting women together – a monthly Friday Girls’ Night in my front room that sparked a movement. Now it's a flourishing community empowering women across the UK and beyond.

I offer a perimenopause and menopause support group, courses, retreats and speaking engagements, helping and inspiring midlife women to elevate their health, confidence, and self-esteem.

Perimenopause & Menopause Group Funding

In May 2021-June 2022, the Menopause Support Group was awarded funding from the Lambeth Wellbeing Project Smith fund. This propelled the group to reach many more women, more speakers and for the ladies to gather in-person.
In August 2022, the Menopause Support Group was approached by Centre70, who recognised the value of our work and wanted to help us thrive. With another year of funding approved, we proudly launched our sessions at Streatham Library in October 2022. These gatherings offer a space of richness, sisterhood, and friendship — a safe and supportive environment for all women to connect, whether in person or online.

Funding continued for another 3 years and in September 2025, funding from Centre70 concluded. The unwavering support from Centre70 has been phenomenal. Special thanks goes to Centre Wellbeing Managers Rosie, Nunzia, Team admin support from Teah and Trustee Gabriella.

In August 2025, an unexpected new funding opportunity allowed us to launch the Women & Girls’ Wellbeing Fund Project. It was a wonderful surprise that opened the door to incredible collaborations and the chance to connect with even more women seeking clarity, confidence, and positive support in midlife.
