Celebrating 20 Years!

In September 2022, 22 ladies travelled to the Mecure Hotel, Milton Keynes for the long-awaited 20th year celebrations. An awesome time was had by all. It was a time of rest, relaxation, fun and the sit-down meal together on the Saturday evening was the icing on the cake. What an honour and privilege it was to see this all come together, from so many ladies. Some who were there from the very beginning to those who were new to the Sisterhood!
Sister2SisterBU offers women a safe space and Sisterhood where women can come together without threat, judgement or isolation. I believe all women should live their lives and be whole in body, soul, mind and spirit. I host various wellbeing events and caters for faith and non-faith groups.

In January 2021, Sister2SisterBU was registered as a Ltd Company and is gaining momentum in the wider community.
During the pandemic, Marcia launched Sister2SisterBU online, which was a lifeline for all women who attended and engaged. Saturday Morning Breakfast Chills and the annual Ladies Wellbeing Day, were hosted online. It has been a tremendous journey collaborating with some exceptional women, guest speakers, professionals and many who have poured into Sister2SisterBU.

Funding

In May 2021-June 2022, the Menopause Support Group was awarded funding from the Lambeth Wellbeing Project Smith fund. This propelled the group to reach many more women, more speakers and for the ladies to gather in a venue.
In August 2022, the Menopause Support Group was approached by Centre70, who believed in the Menopause Support Group and wanted to see it thrive. Another year of funding has been approved and in October 2022, the Support Group launched in Streatham Library. The sessions provide richness, Sisterhood, friendship and a safe place for all women who connect either in person or online.
