Perimenopause & Menopause Support Group

Launched in October 2020 during the pandemic, the Perimenopause & Menopause Support Group offers a lifeline to women navigating this significant life stage. Open to women of all cultures, the group provides a monthly space for peer support and encouragement, empowering members to prioritise their wellbeing through holistic practices like nutrition, movement, and self-care.

The objectives of the group provides:

  • FREE Peer-to-peer support

  • An understanding that women are globally and culturally different with varied lived experiences, that deserves acknowledgement

  • Understanding to balance wellbeing, minimise isolation and stigma

  • Education from Health Experts & Professionals, evidenced-based research and guidance

  • Wellness first | Together not alone | Transforming Lives.

Marcia is a Menopause Warrior and is on a mission to keep the conversation high on our agenda throughout all communities. The group continues to thrive and thanks to the wonderful partnership with Centre, we are now in the third year of funding.

Myself and 33 women had a fantastic time, in the beautiful sunshine and the lovely hotel. The staff were truly amazing and made our stay very comfortable.

The 2025 Annual Weekend Retreat will be 19-21 September, The Lensbury Resort, The spaces for this year have almost gone, but there is still time to book, with a monthly payment plan. Use the contact us button for more information and to register.

Hear what one of last year's Guests said...

"This Retreat is true to what it means. You 'retreat' from the normal hustle and bustle of life to slow down and do whatever re-charges your batteries. It is a time for me to stop and do nothing, to sleep, to catch-up with mates and enjoy quality time with them."

Ladies Wellbeing Day

Cancer Overcomer

After an amazing holiday to New York in March 2024, living a normal healthy life, while in the shower I found a lump under my left breast on Saturday 20 April. I genuinely did not panic or worry about it. I was in a lot of pain in my left nipple also. I got myself to the hospital on Monday 22 April and after seeing 3 consultants who were baffled, a biopsy and mammogram which hurt like hell, I had a series of tests to determine what was going on.

After a series of tests I went back to the hospital on 2 May and was told by another consultant that I had grade 3 carcinoma ductal triple negative axilla positive breast cancer. I did not panic or stress. My faith in God, and positivity has helped and kept me and today I'm still here and overcoming every day! You can see more of my story on Instagram @sister2sisterbu
